  1. Each participant must be a registered high school student in 2026.
  2. Gonzaga Festival Model United Nations conducts 1 council: UNHRC;  with a single delegation system.
  3. The topic in question will be revealed during the technical meeting.
  4. There will be  one committee, and there will be four formal awards given out; Best delegate, Most outstanding delegate, Honorable Mention, Best position paper. There will be four total award recipients. 
  5. Verbal commendation award will be given, with the special case of no prize and certification; each delegate with the award will be given a confirmation letter on their award.
  6. The competition will be held in the span of 2 days, with 6 committee sessions in total.
  7. 3 committee sessions will be held on the first day, and 3 committee sessions will be held on the second/last day of competition.
  8. For the walkout fee to be refunded, delegates must be present in all committee sessions.
  9. Delegates are required to include their student ID or school statement letter during the registration.
  10. Delegates are required to attend a technical meeting which will be held on the 4th of September 2026, via Zoom. If not, delegates will be automatically deemed to have agreed to the rules, terms and conditions presented at the technical meeting.
  11. Position papers are mandatory for each delegate to be eligible for any award.
  12. Position papers must be submitted three days pre-conference. 
  13. All position papers must be the original work of the delegate. The committee will conduct an originality check using plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin. Position Papers found to contain more than 10–15% plagiarized content may be deemed invalid and disqualified from award consideration.
  14. Every delegate must join a WhatsApp group chat with all participants of the committee.
  15.  If later found that the delegate is not registered from the school they are registered for, or violates any stated rules, the committee will have the right to exempt said delegate from the council (committee sessions) and awards.
  16. The maximum number of delegates from each school will be four delegates. 
  17. Delegates who will be late are required to inform the Chair or Committee in advance. Late arrival without prior notice will be considered absent for the prospective committee session. 
  18. The use of AI-assisted writing tools is permitted for research purposes. However, all submitted work remains the responsibility of the delegate. Plagiarism and submission of fully AI-generated position papers without substantial personal contribution are prohibited.
  19. Delegates may use laptops and tablets for research and drafting documents. Mobile phones should not be used during formal debate sessions except for emergency purposes.
  20. MUN is a formal event, therefore, there is a strict dress code that has to be followed by every delegate:
    • A formal attire is required (i.e., long sleeved shirt, formal pants or skirts, formal shoes) blazers, suits, and ties are not required but are recommended. Jeans and shorts are not appropriate or acceptable. Shoes should be formal and appropriate for the event, sneakers and sandals are not acceptable.

  • Assessment Criteria (Kriteria Penilaian)

Point evaluation is done by 2 chairs per committee using a point system. The criteria consists of 5 aspects, including:

  1. Verbal skills : Formal debate and moderated caucus
  2. Writing skills : Amendments and resolutions
  3. Knowledge of topics or policy
  4. Parliamentary procedure
  5. Participation skills
  • Competition Prize (Hadiah) 
  1. Best Delegate : Plaque + Certificate + Rp1.200.000,00
  2. Most Outstanding : Plaque + Certificate + Rp900.000,00
  3. Honorable Mention : Plaque + Certificate + Rp600.000,00
  4. Best Position Paper : Certificate + Rp300.000,00
